Types of Membership

Single Membership  Open to all individuals, eighteen years of age and older, who enjoys all privileges of the Club including the right to vote and hold office.

Family Membership  Open to any two adults (related or un-related) who reside in the same household and any minor children that live with them.  The adults named on the application enjoy all the privileges of the Club including the right to vote and hold office.

Junior Membership  Open to all persons 10 through 17 years of age.  Junior members may not vote or hold office.  Upon reaching 18 years, Junior membership, may be converted to active membership without reapplication upon payment of appropriate dues and signing an updated membership application.

Associate Membership  Open to all individuals or families who share an interest in Gordon Setters and the sport of dogs and who find attendance at Club meetings difficult.  For those not fully able to participate in club matters, not eligible to vote or hold office.

Membership in the Golden Gate Gordon Setter Club is offered to any person in good standing with the American Kennel Club and who subscribes to the purpose of the Club and having fulfilled the requirements of the application.

While membership is to be unrestricted as to residence, the Club’s primary purpose is one representative of the breeders and exhibitors in its immediate area.

An application for regular membership requires that all those applying for membership shall attend one Club meeting and one Club event. (Not required for an Associate membership)  An event and a Club meeting which are held on the same day, shall only count as attendance as one.
